Your abaya is more than clothing — it is an expression of identity, faith, and elegance. Caring for it properly ensures it stays pristine season after season.
Read the Label First
Every H2M abaya comes with care instructions specific to its fabric. Crepe, nida, and chiffon each require different handling. Always check before washing.
Hand Wash or Gentle Cycle
For most abayas, a cold hand wash or delicate machine cycle with a mild detergent is ideal. Avoid wringing — gently press out excess water and lay flat to dry.
Steam, Don't Iron Directly
A handheld steamer is your best friend. If ironing, always use a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric to protect embroidery and embellishments.
Store Hanging, Not Folded
Hang your abayas on wide, padded hangers to maintain their shape. Avoid wire hangers which can distort shoulders over time.
Fragrance Care
Spray perfume or attar on your skin, not directly on fabric. Alcohol-based fragrances can stain delicate fabrics permanently.
Seasonal Storage
For long-term storage, use breathable garment bags — never plastic. Add cedar blocks to deter moths naturally without chemicals.
With the right care, your H2M pieces will remain as beautiful as the day they arrived.
